Select menu: File | Open Example Data Sets
The example data library contains a large range of data sets that you can experiment with as you learn how to use Genstat.
- To access the example data library select File | Open Example Data Sets.
- Type the name of the data set in the Look for file list, or use the scroll bar to locate it.
- To open a data set either double-click it or select a data set and click Open data.
These data sets can be used for a range of different types of analysis. Many of these data sets are used within the Genstat guides pdfs: Introduction to Genstat, Guide to Anova and Design, Guide to REML and Guide to Regression, Nonlinear and Generalized Linear Models. You’ll find these pdf instruction guides in the Help menu under: Help | Genstat Guides.
Look for file
Lets you enter the name of the data set to be opened. When text is entered into this field the list of available data sets will scroll to select a data set that matches the specified text.
Filter by topic
Provides a list of topics that can be used to refine the search. For example, this filter can be used to select data sets associated with a particular Genstat guide.
Open data
This will open the selected data set.
